An opportunity to find out more about bale grazing as a viable and cost-effective wintering practice with environmental and animal welfare benefits.

The event will include presentations from:

  • Ross Monaghan of AgResearch who has been researching bale grazing for three years

  • Dylan Ditchfield on whose Southland farm the research was carried out

  • Deane Parker and Mel Scarlett who are about to fully winter cows on their Canterbury property

Followed by a visit to Scarlett Farm to see bale grazing in action.
