With an environmental and soil sciences background, QS Board Vice-Chair Michelle helps winegrowers improve soil health outcomes and communicate these to consumers.
The spokesperson for Quorum Sense, Duncan is QS Board Treasurer and a dryland deer farmer focusing on growing happy, healthy, productive animals and a resilient farm system.

A founding member of the QS team, Sam Lang is a Nuffield Scholar and now 50/50 partner leasing a sheep, beef and arable block in the mid-Canterbury foothills.
Original QS visual storyteller and videographer, Deane and wife Melissa are building a self-contained, low input system for their grass-fed A2 milk supply dairy herd in Canterbury.
Former QS team member Greer is passionate about regenerative farming and networks, and being a bridge between urban and rural, academic and public spheres.
Emeritus
These following people are no longer officially part of the Quorum Sense board or team, but the beneficial impact of their involvement continues to this day. Many are still actively involved in the Quorum Sense network in some way. We acknowledge and appreciate all that they’ve done for this community. Thank you!
A founding member of QS and early chair of the board, Nigel is a mixed cropping farmer focused on crop nutrition for human, animal and plant health.
Former QS board member Gwen’s focus is on regenerative farm outcomes - environmental, economic, social and cultural - in NZ, Australia and USA.
Former Board Member Nick has established the award winning Greystone Vineyard. When Nick isn’t at Greystone you will find him on The Food Farm.
Skye was a QS team member from Sep 2020 to Dec 2021, Skye supported the team and board across various aspects of the extension project.
A QS team member until early 2022, Rhiannon brought an illustrator's eye to the team and continues to work with the QS team on an ad hoc basis as required.
