How to reply in a thread

And what is a thread anyway!

WHAT ARE THREADS?

When responding to a post in The Dig you have two options:

  • post directly in the channel

  • reply in a thread

What’s a thread? It’s a like a side conversation with a couple of benefits:

  • it keeps all the replies relating to one post  in one place

  •  it reduces notifications - notification of new thread replies don't go to the whole channel

Instead, notification of new thread replies are sent to only:

  • the person who made the original post

  • anyone who’s replied in the thread

  • anyone who’s @mentioned in the thread
