Beef and sheep producers Laura Page and Mark Koopmans talk about implementing regenerative farming practices on a hill block described as '80% steep, 50% bush'. And how experiences on the hills have changed how they apply regenerative systems on the flats.

This young couple bring a huge energy to their farming, and they share openly about how they've introduced new ideas, what they've learned along the way, and the goals they have for the future. “There's only one way we're going to find out whether it works for us or or in our situation or on our hill country, we can try it. And if it doesn't work well at least we know.

“To the best of our ability, put every effort into making it work. And so far we're seeing the results.

“So essentially we're on the journey we want it to be and it might get tweaked along the way and a few things might change. But as long as we are watching what's happening, and making observations and testing and doing what we have to do, then we can't really go wrong.”
