Wintering innovations journeys webinar - Pastoral webinar Jun'24

As part of our five week Wintering Innovations Series, we concluded by hosting a live webinar with three guest farmers who’ve been sharing their wintering practices and experiences with QS for the past few years.

A great opportunity to hear how they got started, where they’re at now, what worked and what adjustments they’ve made. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to wintering, but there are ways we can winter with a goal of improving soil armour, animal well-being, environment outcomes and your own peace of mind.

Join our host Jono Frew and panelists:

  • Clare Buchanan, Align Farms (mid-Canterbury)

  • Mark Anderson, Westridge Farms (South Otago)

  • Deane Parker, Scarlett Farm (South Canterbury)

Throughout the series, we’ve been talking about context and goal setting, bale grazing, multi-species winter cropping and all-pasture wintering. This webinar covers the whole spectrum.

This conversational webinar has questions and answers throughout.
