Free parking is available at Dairy Four. Lunch, morning and afternoon tea will be provided, plus tea and coffee. Transport to the paddocks for the practical exercise will be available if needed

Details and agenda

9.30- 10.00am: Coffee and welcome

10.00- 11.30am: Presentation on theory and aspects of the VSA

11.30am-12pm: Q&A session

12-12. 30pm: Lunch

12.30-3.0 pm: Practical VSA field exercise on a soil in poor condition followed by a discussion as to what management practices are required to mitigate the issues associated with the soil and pasture.

3.00 -4.30pm: Practical VSA field exercise on a soil in good condition.

4.30-4.45pm: Summary of the day and any further questions.

Please bring

  • wet weather gear and footwear suitable for being out on farm

  • sunhat, sunscreen and water bottle

  • notebook, pen
