Further information

This is a great time of year to work on your soil health, as you take stock of the previous growing season.

We'll start by delving into some soil basics includiing what makes healthy soil, soil food web, soil testing, and some common problems.

We'll work on many ways to improve the soil you grow your food in, from hot compost-making to compost bins, bokashi and homescale biochar to cover crops and soil amendments.

We'll consider what materials you have on hand to build soil, from wood chip, to leaves, green material to manure, and many others you may not have thought of.

So often when we have problems with our food-growing the answer lies in the soil, so understanding more about it can take your growing to the next level!

This is a hands on workshop, with really good notes to take away.
